last year on my 'print room induction' i did a little book of screen prints for every day of the week. i found a lyric about all seven days from seven different elton songs. this one is my favourite. i might put the others up another time.

'it is said that the smallest movement of a butterflies wing can have a catastrophic impact on disastrous events.
The term 'butterfly effect' came from Edward Lorenz's 'chaos theory', in which he suggests that a flapping wing of the most fragile of creatures has the potential to create tiny changes in the atmosphere that may ultimately alter, delay or accelerate the occurrence of a tornado in a certain location. This theory is relevant, not only when talking about environmental disasters, but with social disasters such as the recent credit crunch. Certain choices made by a small amount of people has created a big amount of debt, unemployment and unhappiness for many.'
